I was looking at the DNX9960 and this unit to replace the Pioneer F90BT who began to have problems. I ended up going with this unit because it was much more affordable, the characteristics that were interested in were more or less the same, and the screen size and shape were very similar to F90BT. It is not so changeable as the pioneer, but the sight of the performance far exceeds the F90BT. The interface is easy to learn, however, set the optimal configuration for the sound took a little 'work.Navigation by Garmin is my preference - I'm familiar with the interface and the maps are readily available for any area (I'm not using this unit in the U.S.). The 5 volt pre-out 3volts compared to the pioneer. I am using this with a multi-channel amplifier with infinite infinite components 5350A and a Pioneer subwoofer low-profile, and the sound I am now compared to the pioneer seems to pack a bit 'more juice. All in all, I am very satisfied with this head unit and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade. Go get one....
